ano kayang isusuot ko bukas?

           by Ms. Ma Erika Lampa

‘Hmmm..What should I wear tomorrow for school?’ These are one of the gazillion thoughts that are spinning in my head before I fall asleep at night. And when morning comes, I’ll just stare at my dresser trying to figure out which of my t-shirts I would wear to school. You know the feeling when you try on different shirts before deciding on what to wear and end up putting the first one you picked?!(I know someone).
This is what I liked about college; you can never be the same as everyone else (in some cases). You can express yourself through the clothes you choose to wear. It shows people your personality.
Majority of PUP students wear jeans and sneakers but different colleges inside PUP campuses have their own type of uniform. And this is because according to the PUP Handbook Section2.1 of Social Norms; Every PUP student is given the liberty to dress up according to his individual taste but he/she is urged to adhere to the convention of proper grooming. But even if we don’t have similar clothes we still have the school spirit of togetherness.
On my next entry, we will be talking more about PUP and clothes! XoXo

VANITY

Clothes are a major needs of our college life especially being enrolled in PUP. We have so much to take into consideration- what’s affordable, the climate and the suitability of the clothes to allow us to do things in our own way.
I've labeled some characteristics below, the categories mostly came from www.sixwise.com and www.ezinearticle.com , I’d just give it another approach to suit my topic.
So here it is..

    The Sloppy Dresser

 Wrinkled clothes, stained,wrecked or mismatched.

The Skimpy Dresser
    Shortest, tightest, revealing clothes. (Flirtatious)

*when i'm taking this picture, i was so nervous and anxious to get a picture of their clothes*

*what i love about this pic is that we actually get along but i forgot to ask his name*

 The Designer Dresser

  Branded clothes and items

*most of PUPians are not brand conscious but we prefer branded items because of its quality*

The Sporty Dresser
Running shoes (like their heading for the gym)

*most of this are members of varsity teams in the campus*

The Goth Dresser
Lots of black, fishnet stockings, is it Halloween already?
(Black Festival)

The Casual Dresser
    Jeans, T-shirt and snickers

*I definitely love her laptop and her shoes :)*

IL VESTITO (dress)
high heels, nice dress, usually on college parties, events and defense.
(GLAMOUR)

*who says you cant put on floral dresses and go to school?, We didn't!*

On my nest entry I'll introduce you to PUP's different college uniforms. XoXo

P.S.
I didn’t get the chance to capture photos of other categories, though I’ll do my best to add it up soon.

COLLEGE OF TOURISM AND COLLEGE OF HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT

As I'd promise, I'll give you an insight of PUP uniforms per colleges/course. Since we went to Hasmin Building for Mr. and Ms. PUP pageant, might as well start the next entry. Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Management students dress code are first on my list.

Going down the stairs, I've spotted 2 HRM students and ask them if I could get a picture of them and they gladly did.

As you could see, they wear blue long sleeves underneath a dark blue-ish vest and skirts. They also wear a stockings either skin tone or black. Most of them wear heels but they prefer flats coz it's more comfortable.

This picture also have the same style but the difference is the yellow long sleeves. It also applied for the boys, pants and black shoes with matching white neck tie.

HRM students used the blue one (above picture) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays while the yellow one on Mondays.

Walking inside the graduate school, we saw several Tourism students going out the building, then again we ambushed them. Nah! just kidding!

Tourism students wear a pink blouse with puffed sleeves and a dark gray-ish vest and skirts or pants. With matching gray lace or a neck tie.

On orientations and seminars they wear the corporate look, consists of white blouse, black blazer and skirt matching it with a green lace and the never ending heels.

This also applies for the boys black pants and shoes minus the green lace.

I'm still thinking what college will I'll feature on my next entry but until then..toodles. XOXO

Online Writing Class COMM 4083
10:30am-1:30pm

Ma’am Angie: For your activity, create your own blog site per group then propose your topics.
Me: Yey! Blog site!

Creating your own blog site, of course, group mates to the rescue, coz Blogspot was eating me alive! (Nangangain yung blogspot ng mga hindi marunong gumamit! haha) We decided to stick with the first design of the site. Gray and simple. Were just gonna retouch it once we figure out what we wanted to do with the page. After a week, we have our official blog site and it was cool!
It just happened that we attend Glam night and we had a glamorous picture for our profile. The next task was to propose the theme and the topics for the blog site. Our first them was supposed to be All About Foods but it was too broad so we changed it to PUP Life.
I was assigned to the “get-up” section of the site. I don’t have any complaint about my part coz I really love clothes but sad to say clothes doesn’t love me that much! Haha I’m so fascinated with clothes/ fashion, if my eyes could capture images of clothes that I’d like, I probably have a full memory now!

Someone: Ano bang uniform sa PUP?
Me: I think they don’t have uniforms kasi mostly naka-civilian lang sila.

I’d checked google a hundred times but I didn’t see blogs or picture regarding different PUP uniforms so I when I was doing my blog, I feel like it is timely coz a lot of students were asking the same questions, like “maganda ba yung mga uniform sa PUP? With my page, readers could have a view what uniforms PUP have for different courses. Sometimes it makes me feel that I am obliged to continue what I have started.

Me: Excuse me; can I take your picture for my blog?
Someone: Me? What for?
Me: Coz you seem to fit my model for this week. It is for our blog, for our online writing class. Plss…
Someone: Okay!
Me: Thank you soo much. You can check out our blog!

Doing a blog entry was no sweat but with taking the right picture that would fit on what you wrote was hard. I find it challenging to ask students if I could take their pics. First, I was just simply shy; second, they asked a lot of questions. Haha Good thing I have my group mates to help me out. In terms of picture, I admit that I’m a bit choosy of who to pick coz I want my entry to turn out nice! Peace ^_^v

Overall, I enjoyed doing the blog entries, and hopefully we will continue to add entries and keep it updated. xoxo
