this way to PUP please!

"POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES", when thinking about this prestigious university I get excited except for one thing "distance". For a lazy person who hates waking up so early in the morning like me, the first thing that comes to my mind is the duration of my journey, unendingly pollution and most especially the traffic that runs like shambles in my head.

I am residing at Cainta, Rizal, so for me to be able to reach PUP, I will ride a tricycle from my house to the gate of Valle golf. and from there I will take a jeep bound to Santolan where it's not that easy ride because of the traffic cause by the volume of vehicles in the morning. as soon as I reached Santolan, I will take the LRT from Santolan to Pureza station. And ride another tricycle though Anonas st. to get to PUP.

For an adolescent like me, it's really hard to take long and complicated journey. But the sacrifice is worth it because in that way, I learned how to be independent and wise to find techniques and alternate route. And I consider it as an adventure and Iv'e learned that travelling is not that bad, it's fun!

Tour detour: Ways to PUP!

Being a college student is not an easy task. I have to travel every now and then just to go to school, and I have been travelling for almost 3 years now that sometimes i get so jaded.

Studying at PUP, taking up Bachelor in Communication Research requires us to go to different places and explore different means of transportation. As well as alternative routes in order to reach our destination easily.

One of this said alternative is the PNR (Philippine National Railways) which passes through Sta. Mesa. PNR route is from Caloocan to Alabang. Iv'e tried riding in the PNR when I came from Blumentritt station and it took only 15-20 mins to Sta. Mesa.

Speaking of PNR, we Filipino's are very much profit-oriented therefore Trolley exist.Trolleys are used in some large railway stations for passengers to carry their luggage. And in PUP, some students prefer riding this for only 10 pesos especially those in Pandacan area.

We also have Pasig Ferry, whose statio passes through PUP to Pasig. The service operates from 6 am to 9 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm on weekdays and from 6 am till 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday. starting from Escolta to Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City

And if you are living in Rizal, Marikina, you can take more accessible journey through LRT (Light Rail Transit). You can also take jeepney if you want. a longer trip though, whats important is you can reach PUP safe and sound..

there are lots of choices. We just have to relate it to studies and life as well, whatever path you choose, make sure that you shouldn't let any obstacles beguile your journey because life as we know it, like roads, it has so many twist and turns you have to explore and get over with in order to survive and learn.

This Way to PUP, please!
the next adventure..

We already explore the main campus of Polytechnic University of the Philippines Sta. Mesa, from the smallest and cheapest means of transportation up to the largest, expensive and long hours of trip. And now we will go to the branches of our own, PUP (Sta. Maria, Bulacan; Commonwealth, Quezon City; and San Juan).

POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES Sta. Maria, Bulacan. It is located at Sitio Gulod, Pulong Buhangin Sta, Maria Bulacan. You can take a ride by means of Jeepney(Sta. Maria-Norzagaray Jeep) if you are resided in Sta. Maria but if you are in Metro Manila you can take NLEX with bus (Phillipine Corinthian line, Bovjen and Erwin bus). There are so many alternative route to go to PUP Sta. Maria extension such as taking the McArthur Highway. You can ride a bus routing Marilao to Ayala-Alabang then when you're in Marilao, Bulacan already you can ride a jeep going to Sta. Maria and from Sta. Maria Jeepney Terminal you will ride again a jeepney going to Norzagaray but you'll tell driver that you're in Pulong Buhangin only.

POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES San Juan. It is located along the A. Mabini, Ortega, and Pillar road in San Juan. You can take the route of San Juan or Shaw Blvd. by means of LRT, MRT and jeepney. From the main campus it could only take an hour but depends if there's a traffic.

POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES TAGUIG. It is near in the DOST NCR Regional office, Philippine council for Industry, DOST main compound and Food Nutrition Research Institute along General Santos Ave. They can take the PNR Bicutan Station then take a jeep. Or from the main campus you can ride LRT (line 2) Pureza then Doroteo Jose then take the LRT (line 1) from D. Jose to Taft. After that ride a jeep going to Sucat, Bicutan then from Sucat ride a jeep again going to Taguig.

My Blogging Experience!!

I am not really that type of person who is endowed with the talent to write. In fact, i really get tired of writingevery now and then without ideas coming out of my mind. I really get envied of the persons bestowed with the passion for writing. I need a lot.. so that explained why I'm not into pen and paper.

When it comes to blogging, one must really experienced the things so it meets the reality of writing. I find it hard to come up with ideas on how to construct my blog, only experience thought me how and of course with the help of my co bloggers. Sometimes I thought I got the hardest topic which is transportation, where as topics are really not that broad.

Blogging, for my own perception and likewise comprehension, is a complex combination of the reality and imagination. It is also thru the acquisition of experience and applying it on our daily lives. As a student, blogging's entity in my studies is an eye opener and a practice which makes studying more exciting.

PUP really come up with a great idea for us, Mass Comm. students. It really work and for that .. kudos PUP!!!   ¬_¬
